Did Festival of the Sun just drop its best lineup ever?

The 15th Festival of the Sun in Port Macquarie, NSW, just set the bar massively high for the Summer season as they dropped a huge lineup for their circus themed “Roll Up Edition”.  For 2018, festivities begin December 13th and the event will run through to December 15th with performances from headliners Vera Blue and Pond setting the stage for a lineup as diverse as it is exciting:

And the lineup is…

With acts set to bring the party across a wide range of genres, representing the best in Australian music right now, this just may be the festival’s best lineup ever.

Festival Director and self proclaimed Ringmaster Simon Luke said about the announcement, “We have finally reached the big 15 and are so proud that after so many years we are still a boutique, BYO festival on the mid-north coast that celebrates some seriously talented musicians”.

“We can’t wait for our FOTSUNNERS to get in on all the action and enjoy what we’ve put together for them, it will be the best one yet!”

Things will kick off at the Breakwall Tourist Park on Thursday 13th December at 2PM for Wabi Sabi, with Silent Comedy and Beats. Then on Friday, bands will be kicking off at noon and they’ll play through to 10PM.

FOTSUN goes on sale on August 9th at 10AM (no early bird sales or discounts), with only 3,000 spots up for grabs. And with a lineup this good, you know they’re going to go quickly. GA 2 and 3 Night tickets (including free camping) start at $239 and $249, respectively (car passes for 3 nights start at $52.00 and can double up as your accomodation). There’s also the option to stay in Tent City, “an eco friendly” VIP camping area. A variety of ticketing packages are available and full details can be found on fotsun.com.

A free ride will be also available for FOTSUNners who live within a 10km radius of the festival grounds and aren’t staying on-site. FOTSUN is NSW’s longest-running BYO festival and though it is an 18+ event, families are definitely welcome and children under 12 receive free entry when accompanied by an adult.
