The Meeting Tree (Sydney) comment on police presence at One Day Only Festival on ARIA red carpet

Sydney duo The Meeting Tree – one of several projects part of music collective One Day – were nominated for Best “Urban” Album at the ARIAs this year, and while the “Godfathers of Australian Dance Music” did the rounds on the red carpet, the AU thought it best to catch up with them to talk about the recent One Day Only Festival, their nomination, and plans for 2016.

Anyone who was at One Day’s boutique festival will tell you that there was a strangely excessive police presence at Manning House on Saturday 21st November (even by regular standards) but rather than lament the cops, Raph and Joyride expressed gratitude to the law, adding the suggestion that similar contingents monitor other events around the city. “Fair is fair”, after all.

The duo also discussed the nature of nominations and Joyride’s aspirations for Drone mastery amongst other things. Watch the full video below.
