Royal Blood to unleash their own beer at Groovin’ The Moo; Drummer Ben Thatcher chats about it

Canberra brewing company Capital Brewing Co. will be unveiling a brand new beer for Groovin’ The Moo punters this weekend – the Royal Brew, a 6% Blood Orange New England IPA for UK duo Royal Blood, who are playing the festival as part of their biggest ever tour of Australia, which kicks off today, April 24th at the Hordern Pavilion in Sydney.

We briefly chatted to the band’s drummer Ben Thatcher about the brew yesterday, and watch what he had to say about it:

The beer will officially launch this Thursday, April 26th at the Canberra HQ of the Brewing Co., as part of the Groovin’ The Moo launch party. You can find out more details about it HERE.

If you can’t wait until then, Sydney venues Bitter Phew, The Taphouse and Frankies will also be serving the beer today, coinciding with the band’s sold out performance at the Hordern Pavilion with Polish Club and Psychedelic Porn Crumpets.

Then the beer, which is 6% ABV and comes filled with the goodness of Blood Orange juice, will appear at the Canberra Groovin’ The Moo on Sunday, April 29th at the University of Canberra. You can grab tickets to that event HERE.

And if you miss all of these opportunities to enjoy the beer, or if you don’t live in Sydney or Canberra, keep your eyes out for additional locations – as they may be popping up in other kegs around the country too.
