Interview: Hurray for the Riff Raff’s Alynda Segarra on her acting debut in Blaze and Bluesfest in Australia

Last week at SXSW we caught up with Hurray for the Riff Raff‘s Alynda Segarra to talk about her acting debut in Ethan Hawke‘s new film Blaze, which premiered at Sundance earlier this year. The film documents the life of songwriter Blaze Foley.

While on the red carpet to promote the film, we also chatted about her then imminent visit to Australia. With the group’s tour kicking off today in Melbourne, watch the chat here:

Hurray for the Riff Raff play Melbourne’s Corner Hotel tonight and Sydney’s Factory Theatre on Monday, March 26th. Then they’re off to Bluesfest. Head to Bluesfest Touring for more details.

As for Blaze, the film screened at SXSW earlier this month and its release details have yet to be announced – but keep your eyes open for more! You can read more about the film over on The Iris.
