Grouplove on debuting Big Mess material in their new live shows & preparation for 2016 tour dates

While in Sydney recently, we caught up with Grouplove, who are in the early stages of what’s looking to be a huge run of tour dates through the States and in Europe. Beginning their Big Mess cycle in Australia, the boys of the group chat about how such initial shows have been treating them and how preparation for the chaos ahead has been treating them.

“I don’t know if you can prepare for it,” Dan Gleason says. “It’s going to be crazy, but it’s going to be crazy for everybody. There’s no real way to completely prepare for it because you don’t know exactly what’s going to happen. That’s the beauty of it; I think it’s why people like ourselves are drawn to it, is the unexpected and the craziness and the memories that you get from not having everything laid out for you.”

“It’s why the album’s called Big Mess,” Christian Zucconi adds. “It’s that chaos where we kind of find our ways to thrive and create.”

Big Mess is released via Warner Music Australia on September 9th.
