Our Top 5 moments from Sydney’s Lost Picnic at The Domain

Sydney hosted a gorgeous day out with some of our favourite established and emerging talent over the weekend, with Lost Picnic taking over The Domain. An audience of all ages gathered to see some excellent pop, Americana, indie and rock music on Sunday – a perfect way to enjoy one of many spring weekends ahead.

While long waits for food and beverages obviously threw a damper of what was an otherwise successful event, we can only anticipate how Lost Picnic returns in 2018; still a festival with many a music highlight, we’ve drawn upon five of our favourite moments.

THE TESKEY BROTHERS

The Teskey Brothers are a tight unit, having played plenty of festivals and gigs all around Australia in the last 12 months. Sweet guitars and a classy horn section meant they received a great reception first up.

ALL OUR EXES LIVE IN TEXAS

All Our Exes Live in Texas were only In Australia for four days to play a couple of gigs and as always their natural charm, layered melodies and musicianship wowed us all.

MONTAIGNE

Montaigne’s powerful vocals always delight; there were plenty in the audience who knew all the words. A performer with a strong fervent following.

SARAH BLASKO

Sarah Blasko  – a national treasure and we were blessed to have her. She showcased a couple of new songs which were well received. Arguably though, she should have been on stage later in the evening.

FAT FREDDY’S DROP

A crowd pleaser. Their infectious grooves had everyone on their feet. The lines may have been long at times, but the music kept smiles on faces.
