Vivid Sydney’s music program will feature Goldfrapp, Air, Fleet Foxes and more

Vivid Sydney will once again be spreading lights, music and ideas across the harbour city from late May to mid June. The multifaceted 23-day celebration of art and innovation has had it’s full program roll out as of today, and one of the most exciting aspects is it’s massive music component which is split between Vivid Music and Sydney Opera House’s Vivid LIVE, making for over 250 music related events.

Topping the bill for Vivid Music are electronic pop darlings Goldfrapp, who will be playing an Australian exclusive show at Carriageworks, a venue which will also host Fuzzy’s large-scale live music and art event Curve Ball. There’ll also be plenty of parties as part of this arm, curated by the likes of Heaps Gay, Soul of Sydney, Purple Sneakers and The Argyle’s Tokyo Disco.

Vivid LIVE will be bringing in the great Laura Marling, French electronic maestros Air, local hero Nick Murphy (formerly Chet Faker) and Seattle favourites Fleet Foxes as headliners to play Sydney Opera House amongst others. Though perhaps most excitedly, The Avalanches will be performing Since I Left You from front to back with special guests including DJ Shadow, Briggs and Sampa the Great.

Throw in a bit of Nai Palm (the frontwoman for Hiatus Kaiyote) who will be debuting some solo material; Dappled Cities who will be recreating their back catalogue as well as debuting their new album; Aussie rockers Camp Cope and the soulful Sampha. What you get is one hell of a line up.

You check the full program below but for complete information and all tickets head to the official Vivid Sydney website.
