Vera Blue shares new single from forthcoming debut album + announces national tour

After much anticipation, Sydney-based singer/songwriter Vera Blue has announced her debut album will be coming this year, after a few final touches. In the mean time, the first single “Private” has been released with an accompanying national tour this April.

“Private” is a shift to a heavier electronic sound, experimenting with start/stop instrumentals that complement her elegant, soaring vocals. In the crashing chorus, warped synths and syncopated beats feel reminiscent of a Flume arrangement, without sounding borrowed. This single is fresh.

Catch the first taste of Vera Blue’s debut album when she plays at the Factory Theatre in Sydney on April 20th, Fat Controller in Adelaide on April 21st, Capitol in Perth on April 22nd, Corner Hotel in Melbourne on April 24th and The Zoo in Brisbane on April 29th. Tickets and more information are available at verablue.com.
