The Vanda & Young Songwriting Competition extends application deadline until August 10th!

If you’re a songwriter wanting to be in with a chance of winning a cut of a huge $65,000 cash prize, the Vanda & Young Songwriting Competition is the one for you. Offering the three winning songwriters prizes of $50,000, $10,000 and $5,000 respectively, the competition accepts entries from songwriters hailing from all over the world.

Already, the 2016 competition has seen entries roll in from writers from 20 countries, with multiple entries streaming in. Considered one of the world’s most prestigious competitions of its kind, the Vanda & Young Songwriting Competition raises money for the non-for-profit team at Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy Australia, all the while supporting talented writers..

The deadline for entries has now been extended, so you’ll have some more time to get your songs in for consideration. The $50 fee that comes with each entry goes directly to NRTMA, the organisation that uses music therapy to help people ailed by a range of physical and intellectual disabilities.

Get your songs in by 11:59pm (AEST), August 10th, to be in with a chance! For more information on the competition, visit the Vanda & Young Songwriting Competition, HERE.
