The State of Affairs (13th January 2017): FBi Radio announce new Music Director, Australian Blues Music Festival reveals ‘Chain Award’ nominees & more

Welcome to 2017! The new year is getting off to a great start in terms of the local music scene, with the 37th annual St Kilda Festival releasing its full line-up of confirmed acts, FBi Radio announcing the appointment of a new Music Director, and Melbourne’s beloved King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard being announced as the final act added to the already jam-packed line-up for the 2017 St Jerome’s Laneway Festival.

Amelia Jenner announced as FBi Radio’s new Music Director

Earlier this week, FBi Radio announced Amelia Jenner will be acting as their new Music Director, starting from January 23rd. Following the departure of current Music Director Stephen Goodhew on January 20th, Jenner will become the third person to be appointed to the role since FBi Radio’s launch back in 2003.

Currently hosting “The Bridge” and “Body Promise”, Jenner first got involved with the independent broadcaster back in 2012 as a volunteer, and began presenting on air in 2014. As part of her new role as Music Director, Jenner will be responsible for shaping the sound of FBi Radio by managing all music-focused content both on-air and online.

Reaching over 460,000 listeners each month, FBi Radio is an independent broadcaster dedicated to showcasing the best of Sydney’s art, music, and culture.
