The Falls Festival heads downtown in 2017, hitting the streets of Freo in WA in January!

Exciting news for Falls Festival fans on the west coast! Next January, the streets of Freo are going to be taken over by one of the summer’s best music and arts events! Showcasing the best local, national and international sounds, the Falls Festival is breaking from their traditional set up for the first time and is operating ‘Falls Downtown’ in WA instead, taking to the streets and buildings of Fremantle over two days in January (7th and 8th).

The main stage will be erected in the town square, while the abandoned Myer building will be reinvigorated throughout the duration of the festival with art installations, performance areas, markets and even rooftop glamping. The Town Hall Atrium, boasting a stunning old-world stage, will also be incorporated into the festival, while the St John’s Anglican Church will also be a must-see venue for punters throughout the event.

With multiple bars, cafes and relaxation options being set up to make sure you get the most out of the experience, Falls Downtown is ambitious as heck, but they’re going to pull it off with flair, as they do with the festival every year.

More updates are still to come regarding the line up and the event itself but hell, this is one hell of an announcement for WA fans to be waking up to!
