The Brunswick Music Festival today unveiled a massive program of live music and artistic collaborations as they celebrate 30 years this March 4th – 18th.
Some highlights of the program this year include a special retrospective in Songs of 3056, a celebration of the sounds of the suburb on March 16th. Helmed by Xani Kolac of The Twoks, Brunswick will be put on display, featuring vocalists including Kylie Auldist, Thando, Simon Burke and more, bringing an extensive repertoire to the stage.
The Brunswick Mechanics Institute on Sydney Road will be the hub of activity for the Brunswick Music Festival this year, hosting free performances by the likes of Adam Rudegeair, Audrey Powne and Lisa Crawley, while elsewhere, punters can catch the likes of Saskwatch, Masta Ace, Grace Barbé, Mighty Duke and The Lords and more throughout.
Along with live music performances, the Brunswick Music Festival is also hosting a series of development panels, workshops and more thanks to Music Victoria and APRA|AMCOS, including a songwriting masterclass with Cookin’ on 3 Burners and members of Mondo Rock, and a brass workshop hosted by members of the Hypnotic Brass Ensemble.
With more events than you can poke a stick at that families and crowds of all ages can attend, the Brunswick Music Festival is set to be one of Melbourne’s biggest parties held for the locals.
