Tame Impala, San Cisco, Tired Lion among WA Music Awards nominees for 2015!

Today has seen some of WA’s best musicians honoured, with the nominations for the 2015 WA Music Awards being revealed again as part of the WAM Festival. Tame Impala leads the charge this year, scoring six  nominations (excluding individual nominations in the Craft Awards), while Pond aren’t too far behind, with five noms to their name.

Nominations have also gone to some excellent talent in Tired LionSan CiscoMethyl Ethel and Drapht, highly representative of the strong diverse music coming out of the West Coast. Over 700 industry members deliberated and finally decided on the final list this year and along with the nominee reveal today, the WA Music Awards organisers have also opened voting up for the public to have their say on the potential winners of six categories: Most Popular Live Act, Most Popular Event, Most Popular Video, Most Popular New Act, Most Popular Venue and Most Popular Music Event.
