Sydney’s Goat Island to host a new Australia Day festival

In the coming weeks we can expect a whole heap of Australia Day (January 26th) events to be announced, but for now this is a nice way to kick start the Sydney options. Sydney Harbour’s Goat Island will be the site of a new small-scale music festival titled Goat Island Sounds, presented by NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service.

Bringing in a host of fine local beat makers and anchoring it all with the triple j hottest 100, Goat Island Sounds will be calling on the likes of Kilter, Just A Gent, LUEN, Ok Sure, and Klue to help the party along, right alongside food and drink by Young Henrys and Mary’s.

Tickets are set at $65pp and include a return ferry. Those wanting to add a luxury picnic hamper (curated by Pretty Picnics) with fine cheeses, fruits, cured meats, wine, and more, plus a picnic rug, cushions, and access to exclusive toilet facilities can purchase a VIP ticket, set at $250 per two VIP tickets.

To purchase tickets head to Moshtix and for more info head to the official Facebook Event Page.
