Summer MOFO Program welcomes Puscifer, Mike Patton, Peaches and more to Hobart in January

Over 200 artists will be flocking to Hobart next January 18th – 22nd for an unforgettable summer MOFO festival program. Curated by Brian Ritchie, the festival this year will see punters challenged by the diversity of productions on show, not to mention will be challenging the artists themselves in bringing some truly eclectic ideas to life.

With tickets on sale from October 17th, the MOFO program comes stacked with highlights, including the Australian exclusive premiere of Peaches Christ Superstar, wherein Peaches will be performing the iconic Jesus Christ Superstar as a one-woman show at the Theatre Royal on January 19th. The festival also sees the world premiere of tētēma, the new project by experimental composer Anthony Pateras and featuring Mike Patton in his only Australian show.

PusciferPantha Du PrinceKev CarmodyRainbow Chan and Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith also feature on the wild line up, while some special collaborations are also set to be surefire highlights of MOFO 2017. Particularly, Regurgitator will be reinventing Velvet Underground & Nico‘s iconic Seja album on synths with Mindy Meng Wang on the Chinese zither ‘Guzheng’.
