Stella Donnelly levels up; signs international deal with Secretly Canadian

Before she heads over to the US for SXSW, Stella Donnelly has made some more waves at home, announcing her lock down of a lucrative international record deal with US indie group Secretly Canadian. Having impressed at BIGSOUND last year Donnelly now joins a roster that includes Alex Cameron, Jens Lekman, Yoko Ono and Whitney.

The signing also means that Donnelly’s Thrush Metal EP will be re-released, the event marked by the unveiling of the official music video for her single “Mechanical Bull” – you can check that one out below!

“I am so excited and grateful to be joining the Secretly Canadian family!” Donnelly has said. “I’m very grateful to be working with the people who, in turn, work with some of my favourite artists in the world and I know that Secretly Canadian is a nurturing space to write music and grow as an artist.”

For Aussie fans, the next time you can see Stella out on the road will be in April, when she returns home to tour with Alex The Astronaut.
