Seven years later, Jamiroquai return with upcoming album Automation

Earlier last month, funk royalty Jamiroquai announced their new album Automaton is set for release on March 21st via Virgin EMI and available for pre-order HERE. It may have almost been a decade since this British group conjured up a new disco anthem, but their legacy hasn’t shrunk in the slightest.

The new record was inspired by the rise of artificial intelligence and technology, exploring the way we may be forgetting to appreciate the simpler things in life, including our relationships and natural environment.

Title track “Automation” summarises the album concept perfectly- it’s a disco-funk journey where man and machine collide. Check out the intergalactic music video, directed by Charlie Lightening (Arcade Fire, Björk) below and vibe out to a sharper, supremely groovy new sound for these legends in the game.
