Sevdaliza’s unveils debut Australian tour dates

After releasing her debut LP ISON early this year, Paradise and Mellum teamed with Collarts, FBi and i-D AUNZ are excited to announce the first ever Australian tour of Iranian-born, Dutch-based experimental pop visionary Sevdaliza in January 2018.

After Sevdaliza‘s US live debut being dubbed as a singularly phenomenal experience, with Enclave LA stating “we weren’t ready for what was about to happen. No one came prepared to pick their jaws up off the floor” – she is shaping up to be one of the most highly anticipated Australian debuts of 2018. Recently announced as part of the Sugar Mountain and Faux Mo lineups, during her Australian tour we’ll also get to experience two healing shows from Sevdaliza – one at Sydney’s Oxford Arts Factory and one at Brisbane’s Woolly Mammoth.

As a multi-platform artist, Sevdaliza’s performances are perilously charged audiovisual experiences. She explores minimalist trip-hop and industrial R&B through concepts of past lives, perfection of emotions and the whole self. Influenced by great novelists in her writing, Sevdaliza creates for a larger purpose than notoriety as is evident by the release of her single “Bebin”a track written in Farsi in response to the US travel ban in which all profits went to “victims of racial exclusion”.
