On the eve of her Australian tour, Lucinda Williams announces her 12th studio album

On the eve of her Australian tour, legendary artist Lucinda Williams has announced her 12th studio album The Ghosts of Highway 20, setting its release for 5th February 2016.

Continuing her nearly four-decade long career, and co-produced by Williams, Greg Leisz and Tom Overby, we’ve also learnt a bit about what we can expect from the release. 12 of the 14 songs were inspired by Williams’ experiences on Highway 20 (aka Interstate 20) which runs in part from Georgia to Texas. However, this is not an album about geographical locations, but songs and stories inspired by people, place and time. The album also features a cover of Bruce Springsteen’s “Factory”.

Lucinda Williams is embarking Australia and New Zealand tour at the end of the month and through December. Tickets are on sale now and the dates are below. The Ghosts of Highway 20 is out February 5th.
