NYC’s Panorama Festival to feature Aussies Tame Impala, Nick Murphy, Jagwar Ma and Vance Joy amongst NIN, Alt-J and more

Situated in the Randall’s Island parklands, and delivered by the same folks who bring us Coachella (Golden Voice), NYC’s Panorama Festival is showcasing a jaw-dropping wealth of talent for their 2017 event. After debuting in 2016 with a lineup that boasted Arcade Fire, Alabama Shakes, Kendrick Lamar, The National, LCD Soundsystem and Run the Jewels, just to name a few, you might be asking how that could possibly be topped… Well fear not.

Between Friday, July 28 and Sunday, July 30 Panorama will be home to: Frank Ocean, Solange, MGMT, Future Islands, Tyler The Creator, Spoon, Girl Talk, Tame Impala, Alt-J, Nick Murphy (fka Chet Faker), Nicolas Jaar, Belle & Sebastian, Vince Staples, Jagwar Ma, Nine Inch Nails, A Tribe Called Quest (in their first live performance since 2013), Justice, Glass Animals, S U R V I V E (ambient, techno architects – Kyle and Michael composed the original music in ‘Stranger Things’), Angel Olsen, Dhani Harrison and Cloud Nothings with many more.

The 2017 event delights with a large contingency of Australian acts descending on The Big Apple. Tame Impala are Saturday, July 29th headliners with Nick Murphy appearing earlier in the day along with Sydney’s psychedelic howlers Jagwar Ma. Vance Joy will play the opening day of the festival with Friday contributions also including DJ sampling superhero Girl Talk, the theatrical Future Islands and the welcome return of MGMT appearing in only their second announced date of 2017 since taking a hiatus in early 2014. Frank Ocean’s Friday headline slot will also be one his first live performances since 2014 following a few recent festival announcements.
