Northeast Party House, Owen Rabbit, Boo Seeka and more on the first Great Escape line up for 2016!

The first round of artists confirmed to be Brighton-bound for The Great Escape in 2016 have been announced, with a stellar list of Australians in the mix! Celebrating its 11th year running in 2016, the music festival will be no doubt showcasing some of the best emerging talent from around the world over three days of showcases. In all, over 450 artists will be rolled out over many announcements, but this first one is definitely a good way of whetting the appetite. In amongst the names are the likes of Northeast Party House, Boo Seeka and Owen Rabbit, a perfect example of the diversity within the Australian contingent and The Great Escape as a music event itself.

Oh Wonder (out here over New Year’s) have been announced as the first Spotlight Show of the festival, being confirmed to perform at the All Saints Church, supported by SHURA and MURA MASA. Tiiight.

The Great Escape will also be lowering its age limit in 2016 to 16+ for some venues, allowing for more people to get in and potentially discover their new favourites.
