Nina Las Vegas to relocate to the USA, final Triple J show to be broadcast October 24th.

triple J stalwart Nina Las Vegas has today announced that she will be leaving the Sydney youth broadcaster to move to the USA where she will be focusing on launching her own record label and furthering her international producing and DJ career. A longtime favourite at the station and with many music lovers around the country, Nina Las Vegas officially hangs up the triple j headphones on October 24th, her final radio broadcast with Mix Up Exclusives.

Prior to her Mix Up Exclusives hosting gig, Nina was at the reins of the triple J House Party show for years, before handing things over to fellow DJ KLP. In her time within the Australian industry, she has helped launch the careers of many Australian-bred artists, bringing the likes of FlumeAlison Wonderland and more to the attention of many many people.

Her label, NLV Records, announces its first signing next week (also including her own release on the label), not to mention a run of international dates still to come. Fans can tune in to Nina’s final show on triple J from 9pm, October 24th, with it featuring some of her favourite artists and biggest names.

Says Nina of her move: “I walked into triple J as a work experience kid at 19 and literally worked every job right up until House Party and Mix Up Exclusives. Thank you to triple j for the incredible experience and especially to the triple j listeners for listening to my first triple j mixtapes, calling in to House Party, coming to House Party gigs and texting in when I play something crazy on Mix Up Exclusives.”

Best of luck for the move, Nina!
