NGAIIRE drops new track “I Can’t Hear God Anymore” on social media; ‘special announcement’ coming this afternoon

“I can’t hear God anymore ever since you left; he don’t come round here no more, he just went away.”

NGAIIRE wears her heart on sleeve as she delivers the lyric, a heart-wrenchingly raw vocal powering through behind it. As we get closer to the release of the Sydney artist’s new album Blastoma, the surprises and little gifts keep on coming, this morning being no different – fans will be waking up to NGAIIRE’s new song “I Can’t Hear God Anymore” released online via her SoundCloud.

The album, out June 10th, is already positioning itself to be one of the key anticipated Australian releases of the year, with already-released singles “Diggin'” and of course, “Once” demonstrating NGAIIRE’s rich talent and musicality. “I Can’t Hear God Anymore” follows the same path; the songwriting shines as NGAIIRE’s words stand front and centre, rolling out delicately over a stripped back beat. The honesty is captivating, making the song itself a treasure to listen to.

“…wanted to give you a little something as a big thank you,” the Facebook post reads, also alerting fans to a ‘special announcement’ being revealed on triple j this afternoon.

In the meantime, treat yo’self to some new music this morning – eat it up.
