Newly renamed WAMFest unveils details for 2016 event in Perth & Fremantle

From November 3rd – 6th this year, the WAM Festival returns to Perth, Freo and surrounding suburbs…but with a new shine. Now called WAMFest, the event today unveils its plans for its 2016 program – a four day celebration of live music in WA.

Showcasing over 150 acts across over 20 venues, WAMFest will also host over 50 industry speakers as part of their conference programming, renamed WAMCon. The conference takes place on November 4th & 5th at the State Theatre Centre of Western Australia. 17 speakers have been revealed today, with earlybird tickets for WAMCon also now on sale; included in this first announcement are the below industry figures:

Earlybird tickets can be purchased HERE for $140 (plus booking fees) for WAM Members, $185 (plus booking fees) for non-WAM Members – included in the passes is entry to the WA Music Awards, Friday lunch at WAMCon Salad Days, QuayNote Boat Party and WAMFest showcase entry.

Announcements surrounding WAMFest 2016 are still to come, including the acts confirmed for the Block Party and Saturday Spectacular, though it’s exciting to see that the Friday showcases program has been expanded, with 13 events already locked down. The WA Music Awards also return this year, set for November 3rd.
