Multi-Award winning NZ singer Hollie Smith anounces Water or Gold Australian tour

New Zealand soul singer/songwriter Hollie Smith has announced the Australian album launch of her new LP Water or Gold, alongside the release of the album’s title track and the announcement of an Australian tour set to kick off on July 27th. The new album is set to hit Aussie shores on July 1st, with the album described as returning Hollie’s rich jazz and soul sound, while introducing new realms of rock and blues.

The album was first released in New Zealand back in March, conquering the charts with the single ‘Water or Gold’ hitting #1. For the record, she collaborated with world-class production team at Bunker Studios in NY, including Aaron Nevezie, who worked closely with The Black Keys, Dangermouse and The Roots.

Holly’s career kicked off in 2003 working with the band Trinity Roots in Wellington, and in 2005 she released her five-track EP Hollie Smith, followed by the release of her full-length album Long Player in 2007, which garnered her three NZ Music AwardsHer Australian tour will feature tracks from the new record, as well as plenty of tracks from her celebrated back catalogue.
