Jimmy Eat World heralds the start of SXSW Music by headlining Media Temple’s Interactive Closing Party

Media Temple hosted their annual SXSW Interactive Closing Party on Tuesday night at Austin, Texas’ prolific Stubbs’ concert venue. The event was filled with a lot of rock, rage and the perfect dose of nostalgia. Pennywise and Jimmy Eat World headlined the annual close out to the Interactive portion of the festival.

Past headliners have included Big Boi, Deadmau5, Richie Hawtin, 2 Chainz and TV on the Radio. American punk rock band Pennywise kicked things off with their classic rage anthems “Bro Hymn,” “Every Time,” and “Fuck Authority”. Jimmy Eat World capped off the party and Interactive fest by playing solid cuts from their new album but made the audiences nights by playing their iconic hits “The Middle” and “Sweetness.”

Media Temple definitely rounded out SXSW Interactive in style. And now the music officially begins… Stay tuned to the AU for all the latest from the annual Austin festival.
