Highlighting female talent, Brisbabes announce their fourth event featuring Georgia Mae and more

Bringing females to the front and supporting girl power within the music industry, Brisbabes is returning to The Foundry to deliver some killer female talent. Marking the fourth time this event has taken place, five acts will take the stage at the Brisbane venue this July.

Headlined by dreamy pop artist Georgia Mae who was recently named the Most Promising Female Songwriter at the 2016 Queensland Music Awards, she will be playing on the back of her recently released single ‘Time With You’, which has been released ahead of her highly anticipated upcoming EP. The line-up will also feature dream pop band Yuuca, the electro infused San Mei, soulful and electro inspired Alice Ivy and post-rock, anti-folk duo Moodie Gloom.

Although Brisbabes has been expanding and growing since the launch of the event, the focus is still the same…to highlight the amazing female talent throughout Brisbane and to encourage female musicians to step forward and share their craft. On the event, Brisbabes creator/director Emma Jones explained “It’s so great to see the numbers growing with each gig, and to see the incredibly diverse array of female acts in our city! If this encourages even one girl in the audience to make some music on her own, we will have achieved our biggest goal of all.”

The event will be happening on July 16 at The Foundry in Brisbane, with tickets on sale for $10 (plus booking fee) before the event, or $15 at the door if still available. You can find the offical Facebook event page here.
