Ex Cops’ Brian Harding announces debut album under new project, Blond Ambition

Blond Ambition is the delightful new pop project born by Brian Harding, who is one half of the Brooklyn alt-rock band, Ex Cops, and also part of a new wave of musicians opting to ditch the “E” in “blonde”.

Blond Ambition’s  forthcoming debut album, Slow All Over, is a groove-oriented release that sees Harding use cues from the early disco/dance/Avante-garde Downtown scene of 1970’s and 80’s New York. With a clear vision and help from friend and producer Andrew Miller (former guitarist for Dum Dum Girls), Slow All Over was created in just under six months and will be officially released May 19th on Brooklyn’s Swoon City Music.

Following first album single “Shasta comes the psychedelic groove “Stupid Boy / Girl”- subtle but itching with funky bass and skipping percussion, polished with Harding’s glowing falsetto.

Expect to hear a melting pot of old-school funk and dance, crafted with sentiment and playfulness. Bongos, shakers and various synthesisers will be used. You can pre-order Slow All Over HERE and check out the track listing below!
