Dr. G’s life and career documented in brand new film; watch the trailer today

When we lost Dr. G, we lost one of Australia’s most special musical talents. A celebrated musician both at home and abroad, his music sent waves through the international music industry but success did not change the Galiwin’ku man.

As a new documentary details, Dr. G’s road to global success was not an easy one and as his profile grew, so did the inevitable struggle of keeping grounded and remaining connected to home and to the Yolngu life he continued to live. The film itself has released its trailer today; a striking portrait of this musician’s life and the role those closest to him played. Directed by Paul Williams and produced by Shannon Swan, the documentary will be officially released in Australian cinemas from April 26th, while it will make its international premiere at the 2018 Berlin Festival on February 19th.
