Courtney Barnett revisits “Boxing Day Blues” with Jack White

Following a soul-grabbing cover of Boy Next Door’s “Shivers”, world conquering Aussie Courtney Barnett has released another collaboration with Jack White, re-working “Boxing Day Blues”, the closing track on her acclaimed Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit. Serving as an epilogue to the blues-infused number, “Boxing Day Blues (Revisited)” is a very thoughtful take on what is already a great song, with White producing a crisp and airy base for Barnett’s wistful, penetrating lyrics.
