Client Liaison, Grandmaster Flash and more kick off Falls Festival’s golden return to Lorne

The 2016 Falls Festival returned to Lorne after last year’s bushfires forced the Victorian coastal event to up and move to Mt. Duneed Estate – a warm and humid return for punters.

This year’s “All Gold Everything” Boogie Nights theme lined up perfectly with The Grand Theatre’s opening line up of acts including Mallrat, Spit Syndicate, Client Liaison and Grandmaster Flash. Strong numbers indicate the early crowds were indeed dedicated ones, as the temperature rose inside the theatre throughout Client Liaison’s bombastic and vibrant evening set.

With Thursday’s line up swapping stages for the amphitheatre valley stage, the likes of Illy and Alunageorge are next up to the Falls plate, with the highly anticipated headline set by Childish Gambino a sure fire smash to cap off the evening.
