Canada’s BreakOut West partners with Australian Music Week and announces Aussie contingent for 2017 conference

Canadian music conference and showcase series BreakOut West returns to Alberta in September for four days and three nights of networking, panels and live music. Celebrating its 15th year in 2017, BreakOut West also incorporates the Western Canadian Music Awards, bringing the huge spotlight onto the thriving music industry even more.

This year, BreakOut West has announced its Australian contingent as part of its fourth guest speaker announcement, including our own Founder in Chief, Larry Heath. Larry joins Sean SimmonsFrancesca RivaKylie Cobb and Geoff Trio on the line up, all coming to BreakOut West with a diverse range of backgrounds and wealth of experience. In other exciting BreakOut West news that Aussies can get behind, the Canadian event has announced its new link up and partnership with Australian Music Week. The collaborative initiative will see Australian artists showcasing at the Canadian event, with reciprocal business and showcasing opportunities set to be in the pipeline. For 2017’s BreakOut West showcase series, Letters to Lions and Winterbourne will perform – the first time BreakOut West has ever featured international artists on their showcase program. In return, the opportunity has been given to an exclusive selection of Canadian artists to submit to perform and travel to Australia for Australian Music Week this November 1-5.
