Björk collaborator Jesse Kanda leads CLIPPED Festival program announcement

As part of VIVID Sydney this year, the CLIPPED Festival also returns, putting the spotlight on Australian music videos and the creative minds behind them. Coming to Carriageworks on June 2nd, CLIPPED celebrates the medium through interactive exhibitions, premieres, keynote lecture sessions and more – a great insight into how forward thinking and progressive the music and film industries are continuing to be.

Discussion panels will be a highlight of this year’s CLIPPED festival, with a list of international and Australian speakers being programmed to share their own stories, as well as exchange knowledge on ground with some of the country’s best emerging filmmakers.

Featured on the initial program announcement for CLIPPED this year are artist and music video director Jesse Kanda, renowned for his work with Björk and FKA twigs, Sarah BlaskoTyson KohMclean Stephenson and more.

Some of the speakers will also be on the judging panel for the annual CLIPPED music video competition, which will see submissions from Australian and New Zealand filmmakers entered to be in the running to not only have their clip showcased in front of industry personnel at CLIPPED, as well as $17,000 from Panavision, Blackmagic Design, Røde Microphones and more.
