Here we go!
The first round of artists set to perform at BIGSOUND this year has been officially released, giving us a taste of the high calibre of quality we can be expecting in September. We already expected the Brisbane music conference and showcase event to be coming out swinging, as it does every year, but in their 2016 line up, the focus seems to be strongly on the artists of right now – the boys and girls compelling audiences all over the country and are currently in prime positions to tip the scale and break out to great success both in Australia and overseas.
This is just the beginning, announcement-wise, but looking at the below, it’s a good way to kick things off. Co-programmer Maggie Collins says of this year’s BIGSOUND Live line up, “All the acts make compelling music in their own style and are in a position to use BIGSOUND to make their mark either nationally or globally. What an honour it is to facilitate that process and further strengthen the economy of contemporary Australian music.”
