BIGSOUND has bolstered its 2017 artist list with a stack of new names being released today, taking the official count to 133 (so far). The list sees some BIGSOUND debutantes in the mix with some returning names and a block of Australian favourites set to mix it up in Fortitude Valley this September 5th – 9th.
Amongst the names announced today include West Thebarton, Thandi Phoenix, WAAX and Manu Crook$, while Washington, Cub Sport and Confidence Man are also due to do their thing to no doubt, huge numbers
As BIGSOUND programmer Maggie Collins has stated of the process of selection this year, the applications that have been filtering through have way surpassed the 1000 mark. “The quality of new and Australian music is currently exemplified by how hard it was to choose these artists out of approximately 1070 applications. Every single artist on this line up has something unique to showcase and to achieve.”
