Argentinian indie-pop dream Tei Shi announces debut album & shares new single, “Keep Running”

Born in Buenos Aires and growing up between Colombia and Canada, newcomer Tei Shi (born Valerie Teicher) is making her introduction to the pop scene with the announcement of her debut album, Crawl Space, coming to us March 31st on Downtown/Interscope Records.

Crawl Space documents Tei Shi’s personal transformation into the confident artist she is today. This development spans across her youth, as early as 8-years old, when she first started composing songs and recording herself on tapes. As she began imaging herself as an artist, she also struggled with a fear of the night and experienced a period of insomnia. In response, Tei Shi forced herself to hide inside her family home’s crawlspace for a minute of each night, to confront her fear. Her debut full length is an ode to the major changes and challenges across every facet of Tei Shi’s life.

The first liberating cut from the forthcoming album is “Keep Running”, a down-tempo R&B track that begins to illustrate the liberating and spirited themes of Crawl Space.
