Anatole, Baro, Middle Kids and more announced as finalists in FBi’s Northern Lights competition!

An eclectic group of musicians have been selected as finalists for FBi Radio’s Northern Lights competition for 2016! The competition offers the winning artist the opportunity to fly to Iceland to not only performed at the esteemed Iceland Airwaves Music Festival this November, but also record at Sigur Rós‘ Sundlaugin Studio for a day before bringing the music they made out in Iceland back to Sydney’s Studios 301 for three days of recording, mixing and mastering.

An incredibly opportunity for any artist, the Northern Lights Competition is also a great way to showcase emerging Australian talent on a global stage unlike any other. Also appearing at Iceland Airwaves this year are the likes of PJ HarveyWarpaint and Kate Tempest, while previous competition winners have included LUCIANBLOMKAMPThe Walking Who and Oliver Tank.

The finalists for the competition this year are Anatole, BaroBUOYChristopher PortGeorgia MulliganMezkoMiddle Kids and Oh Pep!  – the winner will be announced in early September.
