Amanda Palmer returns to Australia with brand new live show this December!

Amanda Palmer is due to return to Australia at the end of the year, armed with a swag of tunes ready for the piano and uke. Spending the holidays out this way and taking in multiple headline shows at The Gasometer in Melbourne, Adelaide’s Her Majesty’s Theatre, Canberra and festivals around the country through into March, Palmer’s Aussie return also includes a must-see show at the Sydney Opera House.

It’s been five years since she last played the iconic venue and Palmer’s return as part of the Opera House’s program of Contemporary Music next year is one we’re particularly looking forward to.

“It’s a joy to welcome her back to the Opera House – a place she has a long connection with – for an intimate and raw performance stripped back to the bare essentials and putting her remarkable music centre-stage in the Concert Hall.” – Ben Marshall, Head of Contemporary Music at the Sydney Opera House

“It’s time,” Palmer has said. “I am taking it back to basics. I am going on a short, super-stripped down tour with just me, a suitcase, a piano, a ukulele, and a baby.”
