The awards, taking place once more at the Amphitheatre in Darwin’s Botanic Gardens will feature live performances from the likes of AB Original (Briggs and Trials), Kahl WallisEmma DonovanGawurraChris TamwoyRayellaDavid Spry and more throughout the evening.

Today, it has also been announced that the National Indigenous Music Awards will be falling over the same weekend as the 33rd Telstra National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art Award (August 5th) and the Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair (August 5th-7th). The three key events held on the same weekend spotlighting Indigenous music, culture and arts is set to display showcases unlike any others and will be a huge drawcard for visitors to Darwin during this time.

The National Indigenous Music Awards are held on August 6th. Nominations for the awards shut on June 17th – submit your nominations HERE.
