Tomorrow (Saturday 21st) is Record Store Day – a day for celebrating everything vinyl, everything limited edition, not to mention it being a day where music fans can give back to their local record stores.
For another year, stores around Australia will be showing out for RSD, with special in-store performances scheduled for shops throughout the day. While your list may be continuing to grow when it comes to what special release records you’re hoping to lay your hands on, we’ve put together a bit of a guide of where to hit up.
MELBOURNE
GREVILLE RECORDS, PRAHRAN
There are a stack of live events happening in Melbourne through the weekend, but if you’re kicking around Prahran on Saturday, make sure you stop by Greville Records. Amyl and The Sniffers headline a line up of locals, featuring JAALA, Tendrils, Sophie Koh and Leah Senior.

Jet Black Cat are getting together a sweet as line up for RSD 2018, with Jade Imagine, Alice Ivy and Nice Biscuit all set to perform in Brisbane as part of their annual party. Limited edition tees and exclusive releases are also on offer – check out the set times below and get along early!

MONSTER ROBOT
Red Hill’s Monster Robot are kicking on right throughout the weekend, with in store appearances and discounts on records set to draw punters in across their stretch of celebrations. Apollo Brown will be signing copies of Across the Globe Vol. 1, while DJ Total Eclipse, 2Dogz, DJ Bacon and more will be on the decks to make sure the party vibes never dip.

BIG VILLAGE x LOW KEY SOURCE
These two epic labels are coming together at the Kings Cross Hotel on Saturday night for a RSD afterparty not to be missed, hosting Apollo Brown, P.Smurf, Godriguez, CHASM, DJ Cost and special guest DJs representing for 567 King and Revolve Records – all for free.

MOJO RECORD BAR
Open from 9am, Central Sydney’s Mojo Record Bar is continuing business until 9pm, while the bar is staying open until 1am! Enjoy some happy hour brews while perusing some records on special. Melbourne’s Wild Meadows are performing at 6:30pm, with their new album on vinyl available for sale throughout the session!

REDEYE RECORDS
Always a popular haunt, RedEye Records in Central Sydney will be opening from 8am tomorrow, bringing out 250 special edition limited titles. Hosting a set from Polish Club at 2:30pm, RSD punters can also expect to see Don Walker appearing at RedEye, signing copies of his new solo album!
ADELAIDE
CLARITY RECORDS
Preparing for their biggest RSD outing yet, Adelaide’s Clarity Records will be hosting one of the biggest ranges of releases in the country. Opening at midnight on Friday (Saturday morning), while closing at midnight on Saturday, Clarity Records will be boasting a jampacked store of new and secondhand stock.
