Watch Camp Cope bring “The Opener” to the Sydney Opera House

It’s safe to say that Camp Cope have had quite the New Year so far. Remaining fiercely opinionated and honest with their music and their message, it has been nothing short of inspiring to see the strength these three women have presented themselves with, in the face of constant backlash that has come their way.

Their recent single, “The Opener”, we all know is a belter, but also paints a brilliantly raw picture of the challenges many females and female-identifying people face in the music scene in particular. The lyrics and the anger behind them speaks for themselves and, as we see in this video below, Camp Cope have honed their craft perfectly; music as a medium for channelling intense emotion and delivering a captivating message.

Filmed in the Uzton Room at the Sydney Opera House, Camp Cope perform “The Opener” following their sold out shows at the venue as part of VIVID Live; the first time a punk band (an all female band at that) has been filmed live at the Opera House.
