Single of the Day: Thom Lion “Fire Escape” (2016)

Thom Lion has followed up the engaging “Mess At Best” single with another delight, a new gem of a tune in “Fire Escape”. The Adelaide songwriter is showing more and more promise as a writer as he embraces some great piano-led choruses and a rich folk-pop vocal that just shines on this one.

Dealing with a frustrating relationship may have sparked the beginnings of “Fire Escape”, but the result is a bright and vibrant piece of music.  Recorded in Melbourne with John Castle, the single is another great addition to Thom’s growing body of work that has been impressing live crowds recently and we’re excited to see where this talented muso heads next.

Check it out below!

Thom Lion is performing at Bella Union (Trades Hall) in Melbourne on May 20th with Sal Kimber.
