Single of the Day: Rosie Lowe “Woman” (2016)

2016 looks to be a huge year for British vocalist Rosie Lowe, especially if her latest tune is anything to go by. With a vocal quality evoking a sharpness and warmth akin to Yukimi Nagano and Jessie Ware, Lowe’s new single “Woman” is a great slice of R&B served up with minimal production. The arrangement is classy and brings a considerable thump in its beats, while Lowe’s lyrics, a statement on the idea of modern femininity are confident and affirmed.

The song is taken from Lowe’s forthcoming debut album Control (released via Dew Process/Universal Music in Australia this February) – take a listen below and become hooked yourself.
