Single of the Day: Reija Lee “Love Nobody” (2018)

“Did you finally find love, and it didn’t wait for you?” – this is the line that hits the hardest for me, when listening to Reija Lee‘s new single, “Love Nobody”.  It cuts through the glimmering synth lines and retro-pop tones to make the listener sit up and realise that beneath the shiny surface, there’s a darker subject matter. And it’s gorgeous to sink into.

For Reija Lee, who first came to the attention of many as part of Kita & Reija Lee, the last year has seen the songwriter and performer gaining steady momentum on her own; delving into some fresh and crisp soundscapes that have seen her shine. There’s definitely a Tears for Fears vibe throughout “Love Nobody”, which isn’t a bad thing at all – if you haven’t hit play yet, this should set the scene pretty well, we think.

We’re expecting heaps from this talented lady as this year rolls out but in the meantime, find out more below!
