Single of the Day: Quintessential Doll “Beautiful Violence” (2015)

Brisbane’s Quintessential Doll has followed up her 2014 EP Let Not The Monsters Destroy Me with the huge new single “Beautiful Violence”. A solo project of songwriter and producer Steph Linsdell, Quintessential Doll‘s production draws comparisons to Homogenic-era Björk with its warping, intense beats juxtaposed alongside perfectly restrained and delicate melodies. The track was mixed by Haxx from Melbourne duo Deja, bringing out the full sonic potential of Linsdell’s sound. Check out “Beautiful Violence” here:
