As we officially begin our descent into the wintry depths of 2016, we’re in need of music that’s going to hit the right mark and fill us with warmth and richness. Thankfully, Adelaide electronic duo PINES have us covered today, as they celebrate the release of new single “Calling You”.
The duo continue to make steps out onto the scene with some well-produced euphoric type beats, combined with some brilliantly delivered percussion and groove sections that Australian producers are starting to become fiercely synonymous with. “Calling You” is full of the depth and evocative sonic substance we’ve come to expect from artists such as PINES, but while the comparisons to other artists including Flume and ODESZA may continue to crop up here and there, the South Australian act have shown good potential to step out into their own light and shine.
