Adelaide sisters Sophie and Brittany Mackay have been cultivating a solid following on the live scene in SA for some time now; as Nikai, their folk-pop sounds have brought them a considerable amount of positive attention and praise, while their recent work as backing vocalists for the Wasted Wanderers has been great to watch in a live capacity. Similarly to acts like First Aid Kit, The Waifs and Laura Marling, Nikai weave delicate lyricism in with some hazy, sun-kissed nostalgic pop arrangements that could easily fit in with some of the musical influences the girls grew up with.
