Nick Waterhouse and Leon Bridges. A match made in heaven, I say. The two recently linked up for a tune on Waterhouse’s third album Never Twice, the final result presenting itself in the form of “Katchi”.
What is ‘katchi’? The music, with its cheeky swaggering approach and the lyric “She give me katchi, all night long…” would probably lead you to make fair assumptions, and you wouldn’t be far off. The term refers to a massage or ‘loving touch’ – a Louisiana Indian term that Bridges’ family would often use.
