Single of the Day: Jordan Ireland with Purple Orchestra “East Coaster” (2016)

Jordan Ireland with Purple Orchestra has had us hooked with “East Coaster”, the first cut we’ve heard from the band’s forthcoming album of the same name, due out next month. While we’ve heard music from Ireland since The Middle East’s disbanding (Temperate Touch & Tropical Tears, as Stolen Violin), this new album of music is sure to put him on many more radars around the place and we can’t wait to see how the it continues to flesh out on a live front.

Now, to “East Coaster”. A hauntingly beautiful track, intricate in composition and delivery. As with previous material, Ireland has a songwriting flair that is instantly noticeable; he enchants and captivates as a writer and establishes soundscapes that offer the listener an avenue to escape, yearn, be comforted or simply daydream.
