Single of the Day: Gypsy & The Cat “I Just Wanna Be Somebody Else” (2016)

Melbourne duo Gypsy & The Cat have dropped a new single packed with 80’s vibes ahead of the release of their new LP. “I Just Wanna Be Somebody Else” is full of warm synths, but it’s the vocal hooks that take this track to the next level; it’s sad, but it’s definitely danceable. Mixed by Dave Fridmann, the man behind the records from the likes of Tame Impala and MGMT, “I Just Wanna Be Somebody Else” is really making us think this forthcoming album is going to be something next level.
